C1/D Crew Visa
The legal gateway to working aboard cruise ships, cargo vessels, and commercial maritime vessels that call at U.S. ports.
Work the Seas.
See the World.
The C1/D visa is issued to crew members of international commercial sea vessels and cruise ships that transit through U.S. ports. It combines a transit visa (C-1) with a crewmember visa (D) — allowing maritime workers to legally enter the U.S. as part of their employment on board.
TRC places qualified candidates in hospitality, service, and operational roles aboard cruise ships and commercial vessels. No prior maritime experience required for many positions — we'll guide you through training certifications.
Cruise Ship Roles TRC Places
Servers, bartenders, baristas, food runners, and buffet attendants serving guests across restaurants and bars

Work Legally in Canada.
Two Government-Approved Pathways.
Canada offers two of the world's most respected guest worker programs. Both are government-regulated, employer-sponsored, and provide structured contracts with legal protections for every worker.
Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP)
One of the most established and respected guest worker programs in the world — SAWP has been connecting Caribbean and Mexican workers with Canadian farms for over 50 years. If you are from an eligible Caribbean or Latin American country, this program was built specifically for you.
🌍 Who's Eligible? Caribbean & Latin America
SAWP is exclusively open to citizens of Mexico and 11 participating Caribbean nations. If your country is listed, you have a direct, bilateral agreement pathway to work in Canada.
* Note for Jamaican Applicants: TRC is currently operating at limited capacity for Jamaican nationals under the SAWP program. We warmly encourage Jamaican candidates to explore our other excellent programs — including H-2B, EB-3, and C1/D — where opportunities are currently more readily available. Contact us to find the best pathway for you.
🌾 What Work is Available?
SAWP covers a wide range of agricultural commodities across Canada's farming provinces.
Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP)
Canada's flagship work permit program allows employers across all industries to hire foreign nationals when qualified Canadian workers aren't available. Unlike SAWP which is agricultural, TFWP covers virtually every industry sector — from hospitality to construction to healthcare support.
Open to workers from most countries worldwide. Employer must obtain a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) before hiring. TRC handles employer matching and application coordination.
Industries We Place In
Superyacht Crew Staffing.
The Life You've Seen on TV.
TRC staffs professional crew members for private superyachts and luxury charter vessels — the same kind featured on Bravo's hit show "Below Deck." Think Caribbean sunsets, Mediterranean coastlines, and serious pay. This is our most selective program. Significant prior maritime or luxury hospitality experience is required for all positions.
Command a 150–190 ft superyacht. Requires STCW certification, Master's license, and extensive superyacht or commercial vessel experience. The most senior position on board.
Deck operations, water toy management, vessel maintenance, docking and anchoring. Prior deck experience and STCW Basic Safety Training required.
Run the entire interior — guest services, housekeeping, F&B service, staff management. Significant luxury hospitality or yacht interior experience required.
Five-star guest service, silver service dining, cocktail preparation, cabin turndowns. Luxury hotel or fine dining experience required at minimum.
Custom menus and Michelin-quality cuisine for up to 12 charter guests. Professional culinary training and fine dining kitchen experience required.
All mechanical, electrical, and technical vessel systems. Marine engineering qualifications and STCW certification required. Highly technical role.
Why Superyacht Crew Is Unlike Any Other Career
Superyachting isn't just a job — it's a lifestyle. You travel the world, live aboard some of the most extraordinary vessels ever built, and earn serious money doing it. Food, accommodation, and expenses are all covered while on board. Tips from charter guests can add $10,000–$25,000+ per season on top of your salary.
TRC places crew on private and charter superyachts operating in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and beyond — matching candidates with vessels that fit their experience and ambitions.

Whether you're an experienced yachtie or an established luxury hospitality professional, TRC will assess your background, guide you through required certifications, and connect you with the right vessel. Applications for this program are highly competitive — only candidates with documented relevant experience will be considered.
H-2B Visa
Extensions
Currently working in the U.S. on an H-2B visa and want to stay longer? TRC handles your extension filing — and can even connect you with a new employer if needed. You are not required to stay with your current employer to qualify for an extension.
H-2B extensions allow you to remain in the U.S. for up to a maximum of 3 years total. You must contact TRC at least 3 months before your current visa expires. Do not wait — late filings put your legal status at serious risk.
⚠️ Mandatory 2-Week Break Required: All H-2B extension applicants must take a minimum 2-week break between the end of their current contract and the start of their new one. For example, if your contract ends June 30th, you cannot begin your new contract before July 14th at the earliest. This requirement protects your ability to obtain future U.S. work visas and is strictly enforced.

Select the payment that matches your pathway. H-2B is a government fee reimbursed by your employer. EB-3 and Extension fees cover attorney and case management services.
Fee Transparency: The $205 H-2B fee is a U.S. government Embassy processing fee — not a recruitment fee. TRC never charges for applications, interviews, or placements. EB-3 fees cover licensed immigration attorney fees, PERM filing support, and full case management. Canada and C1/D programs — contact TRC for current fee structure.
